About Lisa

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to tell stories. I began by reading to my younger sisters and brother (when I could hog-tie them down and make them sit still for the show). When they got smart enough to realize they outnumbered me and could escape, I turned to keeping a journal and writing short stories.

I won my first writing contest at the age of 12 and was published in my first writing anthology (my elementary school's literary journal--quite the accomplishment) at the age of 13. I fell in love with the sight of my work in print and have dreamed of being officially published ever since.

I majored in journalism in college, but creative writing was never far from my thoughts. I wrote countless short stories, poems and a couple of children's pieces while in college, and read everything from classical literature to mystery novels. Graduation from Marquette University brought a career in public relations, where I enjoy the writing aspect of the field quite a bit.

I sold my first romantic suspense novel, At Last to Genesis Press and have been going at the craft ever since!
